We recently welcomed colleagues from NHS England (NHSE) as part of their regional visits to engage with learners and explore how Trusts are supporting education and training. The day included sessions with nursing, midwives, and AHP learners.

Colleagues from the corporate education team, alongside educators, supervisors, and assessors, took the opportunity to showcase key initiatives such as the Student Learning Environment Champions (SLEC), eRostering for learners, multifield placements, wellbeing support (including reasonable adjustments), and innovations in supervisor/assessor training.

A lunchtime networking session featured displays and posters highlighting our work, and the afternoon included a discussion with NHSE around Key Lines of Enquiry, where staff were able to share both challenges and good practice.

Matron for Workforce Development, Victoria Power, said: This was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the outstanding support and learning experiences we offer students at CHFT. I’m incredibly proud of the Clinical Education Team and our wider colleagues who contribute every day to creating positive, inclusive environments for our learners.”
