Healthcare Assistant, Michaela Hirst, has recently completed a third fundraising event to raise money in memory of her brother, Dom, who died in January 2023.

Michaela, alongside her family and friends, has been taking part in various fundraisers to raise money for the Charity CALM. She's previously helped organise two charity football matches and her latest fundraiser saw her walk 23-miles from Scarborough to Thornwick.

They managed to raise £1,535 at the event and combined with the money they raised at the football matches, they have raised almost £15,000 in honour of Dom.

Michaela said: "I would like to thank my colleagues on Ward 17 for their continued support since losing my brother. I will continue to raise awareness about this charity, and which aims to give people a reason to stay and to get help from their services in honour of my brother Dom."
