On Sunday 27th July, Incident and Risk Co-ordinator, Adam Yates-Galliford, will be walking 10K to fundraise for the Terrance Higgins Trust.

Adam doesn't describe himself as a keen walker, but despite this he's decided to dust off his walking shoes and will be trekking from Halifax to Hebden Bridge to raise money to help end new cases of HIV by 2030. Adam's fundraising goal is £100 which he plans to donate to the Terrance Higgins Trust, a charity fighting against HIV. The money raised will not only go towards ending HIV, but will also support services for people currently living with HIV, such as funding counselling, helplines and group support sessions.

Adam said: "This charity is important to me as this condition had a devastating impact on a close friend of mine and the aim to end new cases of HIV in the UK by 2030 would be an incredible achievement, that could have wider positive implications for the worldwide treatment and management of HIV.

"I've done a few fundraising challenges in the past such as the Stand up to Cancer where I completed 100 squats a day for one month (my poor knees!). I also did the 100 push ups challenge for Cancer Research, which was - again - 100 push ups every day for a month. I still try to do 100 push ups a day even now!"

Good luck on this year's challenge Adam! If you'd like to support him, Adam's fundraising page can be found here.
