In June, some of the CHFT Paediatric Team and Paediatric Nursing Teams went to the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Event Local Offer Live at Calderdale College. The team spent some time speaking to families, and professionals, from across the area about how CHFT support children and young people with SEND.
The event was attended by charities local to Calderdale charities, Calderdale Council and other local organisations who have an important role in supporting the needs of Children and Young people with SEND.
Children's Community Nursing Team Manager, Joanne Ineson, said: "It was fantastic to be able to speak to families and other key organisations about the different ways we support young people with SEND. We shared lots of Hospital Passports and helped families understand about how we used systems such as learning disability flags to identify and support people using our services.
"Thank you to colleagues in the Paediatric Therapies teams who showcased their roles too, and how each of them are committed to making a difference to local young people living with SEND."
