Today, we’re also hearing from some of our CHuFT Award finalists in the Must Dos category. The judges were looking for a team or colleague who consistently demonstrates their commitment to keeping the base safe.
Our finalists are:
- Dr Fifydani Shamsudin: Medical Staff, Obs and Gynae
- Dr Huw Masson and Thomas Ladlow: Emergency Department
- Maternity Governance Team: Maternity
- Sarah Mather, Head of Legal Services: Legal Services
- Sarah Rothery, Deputy Director of Operations: Resilience, Acute Flow and Transformation (RAFT)
Sarah Mather said: “I was completely shocked to have even received a nomination! My team and I have worked very hard to change the perception of legal and be a supportive and informed legal team and the nomination makes me feel that we are well on our journey to doing that.
“The number of amazing people shortlisted is inspiring and the other nominees are doing incredible work in their department, and I am looking forward to celebrating with everyone at the awards night. With that said, I won’t deny having a competitive edge…. #GoTeamLegal.”
Ffydani said: “I am genuinely touched and honoured to be a finalist. I am so blessed to work with some of the most amazing colleagues not just in maternity but also neonatal and obstetric anaesthesia. This nomination would not happen without their hard work and commitment to the service.
“I am looking forward to the summer celebration theme at the event and I’m still searching for that pink dress.”
Huw and Tom added: “We were both honoured to be selected as finalists for the CHuFT Awards. This recognition means a great deal to us, not just personally, but as a reflection of the hard work and collaboration across our entire Emergency Department team.
“We’re especially proud of the real difference our sepsis improvement work has made to patient care and outcomes. We’re looking forward to celebrating with colleagues from across the Trust and recognising the incredible work happening every day at CHFT.”
Sarah Rothery said: “It was an honour to be nominated, so I was genuinely surprised to find out I had been shortlisted as a finalist. I’m really pleased that my work is making a positive impact, and I’m grateful to be recognised amongst such brilliant colleagues.
“I am looking forward to the party atmosphere and celebrating the talent and dedication at CHFT!”
