To help safeguard colleagues against respiratory viruses this autumn and winter, the Infection Control Team has launched a competition to find the most improved area for Fit Testing before the end of August.

Top tips from the team:

Fit testing doesn’t have to feel like a chore. In fact, it can be a great way to bring the team together with a shared goal of keeping each other safe and improving compliance.

Why not pick one day a week as your official Fit Testing Day? Make it part of your team's routine. Fit testing:

Protects everyone – proper fit testing ensures PPE is doing its job
Boosts confidence – colleagues feel safer and more valued
Strengthens teamwork – with a shared commitment to safety
Keeps compliance in check – meets regulatory requirements without the stress

Please encourage your Fit testers to take the lead, rally their teams, and turn fit testing into a positive part of your safety culture.

The ward or department with the best recorded improvement will win some goodies for their team!
