Spaces left at the Game of Wounds event

There are a few spaces left for our interactive wound healing study event, Game of Wounds, on Wednesday, 2nd July.

Wound Balance is the science of wound healing while placing the patient at the heart of healing. The Tissue Viability Team are opening these interactive sessions to all colleagues interested in wound management.

The event will be held on Wednesday, 2 July 2025 at the HRI Learning Centre, Forum 1A/1B. Session one: 09:00 to 12:00 or session two: 13:00 to 16:00.

Event schedule:

  • Welcome and introductions – an overview of the session and how you can become the winning team!
  • Introducing Wound Balance – understand the science of wound healing while placing the patient at the heart of healing
  • Game 1 – Ready, Steady, Balance! – work as a team to balance your way to win! Consolidate learning of the Wound Balance concept.
  • Game 2 – Snakes and Ladders – refresh your knowledge of Wound Assessment.
  • Game 3 – The Great British Dress off – work within your team to discuss a case study - document what would be involved in the assessment and select an appropriate treatment plan with rationale.
  • Feedback and discussion – winners announced and medals awarded!
