CHFT have been awarded a HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) Spotlight award for the use of data in supporting the quality and safety agenda across the Trust.
These awards were given to only two organisations where the HIMSS teams had seen exceptionally good practice during all their visits to healthcare organisations across Europe and the Middle East throughout the year.
The Spotlight Award is in addition to picking up a long-awaited award for the Analytical Maturity Assessment Model (AMAM) level 6 accreditation from HIMMS that CHFT were given in May 2024. CHFT are the first trust in Europe to achieve this award based on how we use real time data and predictive analytics to shape and direct the care we give.
Director of Health Informatics, Rob Birkett, said: "This is a real achievement for the Trust. Assistant Director of Health Informatics, Julian Bates presented our story to a large audience before receiving the award. A massive well done to CHFT as a whole, this is a real testament to the digital capabilities and data maturity of our Trust.
"Our next steps are to implement the Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM) and Infrastructure Adoption model (INFRAM). EMRAM will assess how well the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) has been adopted and used to make sure we are safely caring for our patients. INFRAM assesses how well established our technical systems are and our process for managing our backend infrastructure, its governance and resilience.
"Thank you to everyone who has been involved, it has been a shared effort across #TeamCHFT!"
