Last week our Chief Executive, Brendan Brown announced on CHFT Live that this month's £1,000 Staff Lottery winner was Ward 8A, CRH, Sister, Adele Lee. We got in touch with her to see how she was feeling after finding out.

Adele said: "I was actually watching CHFT Live with my manager when Brendan announced that I had won. We were both so excited! My colleagues on the ward wondered what was going on - we were jumping around so much!

"So, all my colleagues quickly found out that I had won and were really pleased for me. I then called my husband who was equally pleased. It's actually my birthday soon, so I'm going to treat myself to something nice, I just haven't decided what yet.

"I have been playing the Staff Lottery for quite a few years and didn't win anything for a long time. However, I seem to be on a bit of a lucky streak as in the last 18 months this is the 3rd time I have won something - but this is the first time I have won the big prize! I would encourage anybody to join, you never know your luck."
