Thank you to colleagues who attended the third Care of the Vascular Patient Learning Event on Friday, 6th June. The event brought together healthcare professionals from across eight hospital trusts; primary, secondary and community care.

A collaborative learning opportunity organised by The Sheffield Vascular Institute and the West Yorkshire Association of Acute Trusts (WYAAT), the event was clinically led by Patrick Coughlin, Vascular Surgeon at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Nikki Fenwick, Senior Vascular Nurse Specialist at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.

With over 60 professionals in attendance, the day featured educational presentations and interactive skills stations delivered by expert speakers, including consultant vascular surgeons, consultant interventional radiologist, vascular nurse specialists and radiology nursing teams.

Attendees were asked to submit phrases to describe the event, which included; inspiring, educational, collaboration, networking, new skills, teamwork, positive thinking, and go team vascular! - overall capturing the event’s impact on advancing vascular care through knowledge mobilisation, and professional networks.
