Here is a brief description of recent policy changes. Please make yourself aware of the changes, as they may also impact training requirements.

Policies that have been added, updated or renewed within the last 30 days are all stored on the Recent Updates page of the Policies and Documents library. So you can find these documents there or search from the homepage.

NEW - EPR Downtime Policy

  • To replace current guidelines on the intranet.

Fit and Proper Persons Policy

  • DBS checks will be undertaken every three years as per NHSE guidance.

Catheter Policy

  • Amendment and clarification of essential information where practice has changed since last policy review. Including insertion techniques, patient education and duties/responsibilities sections.

Bowel Cancer Policy

  • RCN reference updated

Managing External Agency Visits, Inspections and Accreditations Policy

  • Role title has changed from Senior CQC and Compliance Manager to Senior Compliance Manager.
  • Reference has been made to the Compliance Tracker as the document where all external agency visits, inspections and accreditations will be logged.
  • The Risk and Compliance Group has been listed as the forum to receive bi-monthly reports from Divisions.
  • Appendix 4 has been replaced as a flow chart for the evidence sign-off process.
  • Head of Risk and Compliance role added.
