It's Theatre Scheduling Manager, Gill Grayson's, last week after working for the Trust for 33 years. Gill began her CHFT career at the age of 33 in 1992, working on the wards as an Auxiliary Nurse.

Gill worked nights  to balance her mum-life and work-life, often coming straight from a night shift to the school gates to pick up her children. She moved to outpatients to work as a Healthcare Assistant, which gave her an opportunity to lend a helping hand typing in the Surgical Division. This led to her becoming a part time secretary for Mr Modgil in the Breast Department which saw her eventually take on a full time position as a Urology Secretary and eventually Urology Team Leader. She then moved to working as the Theatre Scheduling Manager which she has been doing for the past six years.

Gill's colleagues have been getting in touch to share their well wishes ahead of her retirement. Team Leader for Anaesthetic Admin Department, Michelle Halliday, said: "A massive thank you to Gill for everything and all of her support over the years. She will be greatly missed."

Medical Secretary in Ophthalmology, Fiona Fraser, said: "Gill always has a smile on her face. She was always firm but fair and strangely enough I looked forward to our weekly Teams call - even though it was usually me that was behind and being told off!"

General Surgery Secretary Support, Andrea Brearley, said: "Time to reset Gill, and not Bluespier this time, put yourself into relax mode!"

Wishing you all the best Gill for your retirement.
