As a precautionary measure and in line with our commitment to patient safety we are initiating a voluntary recall of the Boric Acid Urine Collection Containers supplied by ISS with immediate effect.

During product verification testing by our Microbiology Team, it was identified that sample collection tubes did not meet the required performance specifications. The identified issue may potentially lead to a failure to isolate certain urinary pathogens which could result in inaccurate diagnostic results.

Please continue to use the Valley Northern brand of boric acid urine collection containers which are available from Pathology Stores.
