Our CHuFT Award nominations are now closed with 420 nominations, which is a record number! A huge thank you to everyone in #TeamCHFT who submitted an entry to recognise a colleague or team.

Suzanne Dunkley, Director of Workforce and Organisational Development said: "It is fantastic that we have had more nominations than ever before. It shows just how much colleagues value and care for one another, it's One Culture of Care in action. It will be a hard task ahead for our colleagues who kindly volunteered to be a part of the shortlisting!"

Over the last few days, everyone who has been nominated has been given the good news.

Zoe Matthewman, Clinical Education and Development Lead Nurse (pictured right), told us how she felt on getting a nomination: "It was a lovely surprise to get the email to say I have been nominated in the Work Together Get Results category at the CHuFT Awards. Thank you to the colleagues who put me forward. I am looking forward to finding out more about what the nomination was for!"

Nicola Greaves, Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Service Manager (pictured left), who is also nominated said: "To return to work after emergency surgery to find the first email you open is that you have been nominated for a CHUFT Award is overwhelming. Working within cancer services, alongside so many amazing people, including an army of volunteers, is always rewarding. To think someone has taken the time out of their busy day to nominate me is truly heart warming.

"Having attended the awards previously I know how much hard work and planning goes into such an event, and to think I may have a chance to go is really exciting."

Colleagues who have volunteered from different roles and teams across CHFT will now undertake a thorough shortlisting process. A panel of judges from #TeamCHFT will select five finalists from each category and they will be invited to the awards evening which will be held on Thursday, 24th July at The Arches, Dean Clough, Halifax.

Congratulations to everyone who was nominated, and to everyone who submitted a nomination. Look out for the shortlist in CHFT News from early June.
