Paediatrics Technical Instructor, Jenna Howe from the Community Children’s Physiotherapy Team (pictured), has received a message of thanks from the parent of a child who required significant physiotherapy due to a complex fracture of the tibia.
Jenna completed a block of physiotherapy with the patient, which has worked wonders.
The parent of Alfie, the young patient, said: “I just wanted to say that Alfie's whole physio 'experience' has been fantastic so thank you so much and please pass on our thanks to your team.
"He has been refusing to walk without his boot so we had a chat with Jenna who told him he should. That night he came home and hasn't worn the boot since. We can't thank your team enough for the support that has been given to Alfie and to us as a family.
"We couldn't be more pleased with the physio service and the rapport you all have with Alfie."
Children’s Therapies Service Manager, Carly Hartshorn, said: “The Children’s Physiotherapy Team work exceptionally hard to support the children, young people and their families on their caseloads.
"Jenna’s work with this young person is a real example of the functional impact that the physio team have by building strong and trusting relationships with the young people to ensure that the best outcomes are reached.
"Such great feedback – well done, Jenna!”
