This study, being run by The University of Derby aims to explore registered healthcare professionals' experiences and perceptions of racial bias in clinical practice and educational settings across various healthcare systems in the UK, including primary, secondary, and tertiary care. The research seeks to understand how these biases may affect patient care, educational outcomes, and interprofessional relationships, contributing to the broader discourse on health disparities and the need for systemic change.
The survey is open to registered healthcare professionals working in a patient-facing role in the UK. They are seeking perspectives from a diverse range of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, allied health practitioners, advanced practitioners, and other relevant roles.
The survey covers topics such as experiences of racial bias, impact on clinical decision-making, awareness of health disparities, and suggestions for interventions. The survey should take approximately 15-30 minutes to complete.
