Janet Baldwin is over the moon following her successful recruitment to her dream role as a Healthcare Assistant. She puts it down to the support of our Organisational Development Team and her colleagues on Ward 8AD, where she has been working on the staff bank since last year.
Janet said: “I’ve been working on the ward since last October and although I’m a bank staff member everyone is so supportive, and I really feel like part of the team. They've been willing me on every step of the way.
“I’d interviewed for dream roles several times and was always unsuccessful. Thankfully the Flexible Workforce Team suggested some 1-2-1 coaching through our Organisational Development (OD) Team and I’m so glad they did as when they offered me the role, they told me I’d scored as one of the highest candidates. I believe this was down to the team."
Has Janet's story inspired you to progress your career? Two extra cohorts of Empower: Next Move Ready, plus sessions covering tips for applications and interviews on offer for colleagues
The first cohort of Empower: Next Move Ready is underway and the feedback is excellent.
Eye Clinic Liaison Officer, Fran Reilly, said: "I requested to join the Empower Programme after seeing the opportunity in CHFT News. I love my role and I'm keen to progress my knowledge and skills within the Trust.
“The group of people in our cohort are full of positive energy and there is a real sense of encouragement and support from everyone. Frances, who facilitates the course is incredibly engaging and knowledgeable, raising thought provoking questions in a safe environment.
“I've been given the tools to see opportunities and rise to challenges. I can't wait for the next session."
The next two cohorts will be based either at CRH or HRI:
- CRH begins on Tuesday, 20th May
- HRI begins on Tuesday, 15th July
