Patient Experience Week 2025 takes place from Monday, 28th April to Friday, 2nd May and this year is all about building the foundations of experience.

Patient Experience Week (#PEW25) is a dedicated time to celebrate the people who make a positive impact on patient experience—whether that’s patients, family members, carers, or healthcare professionals. Each day, across healthcare settings, inspiring efforts are made to improve the quality of care. This week shines a light on those contributions, offering a chance to recognise achievements, share stories, and recharge our collective passion for compassionate care.

Why is it important?
Every day, people do incredible things to enhance the care experience—yet not all of it gets the recognition it deserves. Patient Experience Week is a moment to pause, reflect, and give thanks. It’s a chance to say, “What you do matters.” It’s also a great opportunity to reinforce the importance of feedback, gratitude, and connection.

How to get involved
The Patient Experience Network has a library of short videos, case studies, and podcasts—most under 10 minutes—for triggering conversation in team meetings or finding a moment of personal inspiration. These resources are shared freely, so feel free to "pinch with pride" and pass them on! Resources - Patient Experience Network

Why take part?
Supporting Patient Experience Week shows your teams, patients, and communities that their efforts and experiences matter. It’s a powerful way to build morale, strengthen relationships, and foster a culture of kindness, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

If you have ideas for how patient experience can be improved in your area or want to share what you’ve been doing, please get in touch with patientexperience@cht.nhs.uk – we’d love to hear about it!
