Our CHFT Charity is currently recruiting colleagues to be Charity Champions. The opportunity is open to any member of staff with a passion for fundraising.
The voluntary role will provide individuals with the opportunity to share fundraising ideas, shape the Charity's events calendar, and actively participate in fundraising for the individuals department or area. For a full description of the role, please see the document below.
Prevention of Delirium Co-ordinator, Rachel Bennett, is one of our current Charity Champions and said: "I wanted to become a Charity Champion to help raise funds to improve the experience for our patients. With my work in the Prevention of Delirium team, part of my role is to recruit students from local colleges to spend time with our Engagement Support Workers. They help to provide therapeutic activities and meaningful engagement to patients.
"The resources we use are purchased through charitable funds, so we fundraise throughout the year for items such as jigsaws, therapy dolls, or music therapy headsets, which all improve patient care and experience. This wouldn’t be possible without our CHFT Charity team and seeing the difference it makes to our patients is very rewarding."
This opportunity is open for all colleagues but there is a cap of two people per area/department. All our Charity Champions will receive a charity goodie bag (modelled by Rachel, and pictured below.) If you are interested in applying, please fill out this form.
