Pharmacy Technician, Maariyah Ahmed, has been busy. She's organised not one, not two, but four fundraising events to help raise money for Kirkwood Hospice.
Maariyah works at the hospice one day a week to provide pharmacy support and wanted to help raise money as she's seen first-hand how amazing the staff are who work there and the impact they've had on the patients and their families.
Recent fundraising activities have included; leg waxing, guess the baby photo competition, cake stalls and a name the bear competition. From these events, a total of £705 has been raised for the hospice.
Senior Pharmacy Technician, Liz Preston, said: "As her line manager I am really proud of the effort she has put into this fundraising. It's also lovely for us in the pharmacy team to be able to get together and have a little bit of fun."
Maariyah said: "We've done a lot of fundraisers in the department, I definitely couldn't choose my favourite one! But the highlight of the fundraisers is always seeing everyone in the department come together to help."
