The CHFT Appraisal season opens on Tuesday, 1st April and this year will run through to Monday, 30th June.

It was great that more colleagues fed back in the last NHS Staff Survey that they’d had an appraisal conversation than in 2023.

Your appraisal is your opportunity to have an honest, open, two-way conversation with your manager to seek assurance regarding your performance in your role, any development needs you may have and the skills and behaviours required to grow further in your role. Your appraisal should also be an opportunity to celebrate achievements and provide a safe space to have a wellbeing check in where your manager can signpost you to more support if required.

We appreciate that our services are extremely busy, but it’s still important to have your appraisal.  To support colleagues, we’ve reviewed our appraisal paperwork this year and condensed it to two pages, which allows you to focus on the priorities that support you to be successful in your role.

Please note the appraisal window will be shorter this year and will close on Monday, 30th June 2025.
