While many of us would probably feel like taking it easy on our 70th birthday, Hospital Social Worker, Shirley Turner, marked the moment whilst on duty with our Discharge Team at HRI.

Discharge Co-Ordinator, Sarah Grocott, said: “Shirley has worked for Hospital Social Work Team for more than 20 years. She is hard working and always goes above and beyond for all her patients.

“Outside of work, she's is a devoted mum, grandma and great-grandma and a not so secret "rock chick" and enjoys live bands and dancing the night away.

“It was a pleasure that our discharge team colleagues and social workers could be with Shirley to celebrate on her special day last Friday.”
