Our Lymphoedema Team, who are part of the Community Healthcare Division, have been working together with Mid Yorkshire Teaching Trust to provide care for patients on their waiting list.
Some have been waiting for up to 52 weeks, so our teams have been lending a helping hand to get these patients seen quicker, and recover faster. This is being carried out by seeing Mid Yorkshire patients in vacant slots in our existing CHFT clinics, generating income for the Trust and supporting improved patient experience.
Lead Specialist Lymphoedema Nurse, Catherine Stubbs, said: "The patients who have been seen by our team have been extremely grateful, and have been willing to travel to Halifax to the clinics our team run there. We will keep up the good work and continue to provide the best care to patients, even when out of area."
