Nutrition Hydration Week is a week dedicated to raising awareness of malnutrition and dehydration. It's an opportunity to share education around the value of food and drink to maintain patient wellbeing in health and social care settings.

The dietetic team we will be going around the wards to promote the week. They will be at HRI on Tuesday, 18th March, and at CRH on Wednesday, 19th March. They will be offering Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool (MUST) training, handing out posters on referral criteria, explaining how to refer to dietitians and to discuss supplements and practical advice around optimising their usage.

There will also be an information stand in our main entrances at HRI and CRH to promote nutrition and hydration to patients, families and carers throughout the week.

For ongoing MUST training please contact the dietetic offices on:

  • CRH extension: 4267
  • HRI extension: 2749
