Lovely feedback for colleagues on the Acute Floor at HRI who made sure a patient celebrated their birthday in style last week.

Their carer wrote to us via Facebook saying: "I just wanted to say how amazed and touched I was when visiting yesterday as a person I care for was in your acute ward and was their 60th birthday.

"I came with their brother with gifts and cards and cupcakes with a 60th candle and all the staff on the ward gathered around and sang happy birthday. It was just so lovely, it brought tears to our eyes.

"Your staff are a great credit to you and the hospital. It made a sad day into a very happy emotional day and we can't thank you enough."
