NEW - Sexual Misconduct Policy

This week is national Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week which aims to raise awareness of sexual abuse and violence. Our Trust has signed the Sexual Safety in Healthcare Organisational Charter.  The charter is our commitment to taking and enforcing a zero-tolerance approach to any unwanted, inappropriate and/or harmful sexual behaviours within the workplace.

Our new sexual misconduct policy:

  • outlines our approach to tackling sexual misconduct and dealing with perpetrators
  • describes what sexual misconduct is and how to report it
  • provides a summary of support available to employees

We also have an accessible and simple way of reporting sexual misconduct, which is via the button on the front page of the internet. You can also anonymously report using the Freedom to Speak up button on the front page on the intranet.

This week is also an opportunity for anyone that wants to use their voice to encourage others to speak up. If you have any questions, please contact odteam@cht.nhs.uk
