Our 2023 appraisal season opened this month and will close on 31 December.

Feedback from the last NHS Staff Survey was that more colleagues had an appraisal last year than in 2021, and more are saying that the appraisal left them feeling that CHFT as an organisation values their work.

This year we are again hosting 'how to hold effective appraisal' workshops. If you would like some development regarding how to hold an effective appraisal (open to colleagues and managers). The dates are being finalised but if you'd like to register your interest, please email: odteam@chft.nhs.uk 

If you are short on time, we have developed a brand new four-minute video, which is also available on the intranet. It takes you briefly through the process of having a meaningful and effective conversation, so that both managers and appraisees get the most from this vital time looking back at achievements, any future personal development and setting goals for the next 12 months.
